    When needed.

It would depend where and how often you play. If you live in the Northeast US you’re going to play in all conditions, from snow to mud to hard pan to standing water. All of these conditions take their toll on golf shoe materials. Usually starts with cracks in the leather and then to small holes and material separations that let in dampness.
The spikes are no bid deal because they can be replaced.
And besides you want to stay in style don’t you.

    thats a personal opinion.

some people like their shoes fresh and some people will keep a pair of shoes for years

when they are uncomfortable or wore out sounds like a good time to replace

Fefe, you’re back. You don’t necessarily have to change your shoes, just the spikes. Most shoes have a 2 year guarantee, but depending on how often you wear them, (I have multiple pairs so I don’t wear the same shoes all the time), you can just change the spikes yearly. From personal experience, I urge you to buy a cleat caddy to change the spikes with because they are hell to do without it.

Change your spikes when they wear about 1/2 down.

Change your shoes under any of these conditions:

They leak when walking on wet turf.
The sole seperates from the upper.
    Your feet grow.
    They hurt your feet.
    They look hedious.

Check with your golf coach. Often they have access to discount shoes. It’s a good chance to get a good shoes at a cheaper price.

its depend on how well you take care of them. I normally clean mine up after 5 rounds, few times I just clean them as needed. I would only buy them as needed, unless a good sale is going on (brand name) I will buy some soon than I wanted too.

My wife has about 6 pair, so she never changes them. She just wears different ones depending on the outfit. Mine usually last a season and a half; maybe 2. Definitely use shoe trees; they will double the life of any golf shoe.
